زمینه و هدف: انسان ها در گذشته به میزان امروز از مبلمان استفاده می کردند. با توسعه رفاه اجتماعی و اهمیت بهره وری در تولید، اهمیت ارگونومی و استانداردسازی مبلمان آشکار گردید؛ به طوری که امروزه بر کسی پوشیده نیست که رعایت نکردن عوامل انسانی در ساخت مبلمان، مشکلات فراوانی را متوجه سلامتی خواهد کرد. با توجه به اهمیت استاندارد بودن مبلمان، تحقیق حاضر با هدف بررسی استفاده از استانداردها در واحدهای تولیدی مبلمان استان تهران انجام شد.
روش کار: نمونه گیری در تحقیق حاضر، به صورت تصادفی خوشه ای انجام شد و پرسش نامه‌هایی در اختیار تولیدکنندگان ارشد ۶۰ واحد تولیدی مبلمان قرار گرفت. تحلیل آماری داده های حاصل از پرسش نامه ها، به روش آزمون تی استیودنت تک نمونه ای و آزمون فریدمن در نرم افزار SPSS نسخه ۱۸ انجام شد.
یافته ها: بر طبق نتایج، بین میانگین همه شاخص های مورد مطالعه و میانگین مفروض جامعه، اختلاف معنی دار مشاهده شد. تولیدکنندگان مبلمان معتقد بودند نهادهای دولتی و غیر دولتی در زمینه به‌روزرسانی استانداردهای صنعت مبلمان و آشنا کردن تولیدکنندگان با آن ضعیف ظاهر شده اند. از دیدگاه آنان، مصرف کنندگان تمایل زیادی به خرید مبلمان استاندارد و ارگونومیک نشان داده اند. همچنین تولیدکنندگان تا حد زیادی تمایل به استفاده از استانداردها داشته اند و استانداردهای ملی تطابق زیادی با بین المللی داشته است.
نتیجه گیری: تولید مبلمان با رعایت استانداردها موجب افزایش تمایل مصرف کنندگان به خرید و رضایت مندی آنان می شود. کیفیت بالای مواد اولیه وارداتی، موجب رقابت پذیر شدن مبلمان و هماهنگ شدن با استانداردهای بین المللی شده و تضمین کننده صادرات موفق مبلمان در کشور می گردد. تولید موفق مبلمان استاندارد، بستگی به تحقق همه شاخص های یاد شده در این تحقیق خواهد داشت.
