زمینه و هدف: ارگونومی در ارتباط با مطالعه و طراحی سیستماتیک محیط کار در جهت بهبود سلامتی و رفاه انسان است. سلامت و رفاه کارکنان تحت تاثیر فاکتورهای مختلفی قرار می گیرد. طبیعت یک پارادایم جدید در ارگونومی شغلی می باشد که در متون اصلی ارگونومی نقش آن در ارتباط با رفاه انسان بخوبی بررسی و تشریح نشده است. بنابراین، هدف اصلی این مطالعه بررسی نتایج حاصل از پیوند با طبیعت بر سلامتی کارکنان بویژه رفاه در قالب یک مطالعه مروری سیتماتیک بود.
روش کار: با جستجوی مقالاتی که از سال ۲۰۰۰ تا ۲۰۱۹ در زمینه طراحی بیوفیلیک منتشر شده بود و براساس معیارهای تحقیق تعداد ۲۵ مقاله برای مطالعه سیستماتیک حاضر انتخاب شدند. مقالاتی که زبان اصلی آنها غیر انگلیسی بود از مطالعه خارج گردید.
یافته ها: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که طراحی بیوفیلیک در ارتباط با بهبود رفاه انسانی، عملکرد وکاهش استرس می باشد.  
نتیجه گیری: سازمان ها به کمک ارگونومیست ها باید چنین تغییراتی را در محیط کار مدنظر قرار داده و راه حل های مبتنی بر طبیعت به صورت برنامه های راهبردی در جهت بهبود رفاه و نه صرفا اعمال استراتژی موقت که شرایط فیزیکی یک ساختمان یا چشم انداز آن را تغییر می دهند ارائه شوند.
