زمینه و هدف: اختلالات عضلانی-اسکلتی در دانش‌آموزان شیوع زیادی دارد که عوامل مختلفی را برای آن می‌توان در نظر گرفت. این مطالعه با هدف بررسی ارتباط ارگونومی میز و صندلی کلاس بر پاسچر دانش‌آموزان و ارتباط آن با اختلالات عضلانی-اسکلتی در دانش‌آموزان مقطع ششم ابتدایی شهر کرج انجام شد.
روش کار: در این تحقیق مقطعی، ۳۴۶ دانش‌آموز پسر از مقطع ششم ابتدائی شهر کرج انتخاب شدند. به منظور اندازه‌گیری زوایای کایفوز سینه‌ای و لوردوز کمری، یک خط‌کش منعطف به کار رفت. برای ثبت اطلاعات ارگونومی و آنتروپومتری دانش‌آموزان از خط‌کش فلزی ۵۰ سانتی‌متری استفاده شد. برای تحلیل اطلاعات از آزمون همبستگی اسپیرمن در سطح معناداری ۰/۰۵ استفاده شد.
یافته ها: نتایج نشان داد ارتفاع میز، عمق نیمکت و ارتفاع نیمکت به ترتیب فقط در ۱۸ درصد، ۱۲ درصد و ۵۰ درصد دانش‌آموزان در حالت ارگونومی نرمال قرار دارد. بین عمق نیمکت و نمره کامل نوردیک، رابطه معنی‌دار منفی مشاهده شد.
نتیجه گیری: وضعیت ارگونومی میز و نیمکت مدارس ابتدایی شهر کرج در مقطع ششم ابتدایی در حد قابل قبول نبود. بنابراین، پیشنهاد می‌کنیم برای جلوگیری از عواقب احتمالی آن، استانداردسازی ارگونومیک میز و نیمکت مدارس در دستور کار قرار گیرد.
