زمینه و هدف: با توجه به فراگیر‌شدن روزافزون تلفن‌های همراه هوشمند می‌توان آن را به‌عنوان مسئله‌ای‏ مهم و تأثیرگذار در همه ابعاد زندگی بررسی کرد. هدف این پژوهش بررسی تأثیر مدت استفاده از تلفن همراه هوشمند بر وضعیت سر و شانه جوانان ۲۰ تا ۳۵ سال است.
روش کار: جامعه آماری این پژوهش نیمه‌تجربی، جوانان ۲۰ تا ۳۵ سال دارای تلفن همراه هوشمند، ساکن جزیره کیش در سال ۱۳۹۷ بود. نمونه آماری ۵۰ نفر (۲۵ مرد و ۲۵ زن) بود که به صورت داوطلبانه و هدفمند انتخاب و با استفاده از فرم وابستگی اعتیادگونه به تلفن همراه هوشمند (کشور کره جنوبی) به دو گروه کاربر کوتاه‌مدت و بلند‌مدت تقسیم شدند. در بررسی وضعیت اندام فوقانی وضعیت شانه، توسط شاخص کتف و وضعیت قرارگیری سر، توسط عکس‌برداری نیم‌رخ بدن و نرم‌افزار کینوا  (ساخت کشور فرانسه) اندازه‌گیری شد. از آزمون t مستقل برای‏ مقایسه متغیرها در دو گروه استفاده و داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه ۲۲ تجزیه‌ و‌ تحلیل شد. ۰/۰۵>P معنی‌دار در نظر گرفته شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج حاکی از اختلاف معنی‌دار میان وضعیت اندام فوقانی در دو گروه کاربر کوتاه‌مدت و کاربر بلند‌مدت استفاده از تلفن همراه هوشمند (۰/۰۳۳=P) و همچنین وضعیت شانه میان زنان و مردان (۰/۰۰۲=P) بود، اما درمورد وضعیت قرارگیری سر اختلاف معنی‏‌داری بین زنان و مردان وجود نداشت (۰/۴۳۶=P).
نتیجه‌گیری: با توجه به اختلاف معنی‌دار دو گروه در مورد وضعیت اندام فوقانی می‌توان از نتایج پژوهش برای‏ آگاهی، پیشگیری و بهبود وضعیت اندام فوقانی بهره برد.
