زمینه و هدف: در صنعت تولید خودرو، مونتاژکاران به دلیل بار کاری زیاد در معرض استرس شغلی هستند. استرس با توانایی کار ارتباط دارد و می تواند بر آن تاثیر منفی بگذارد. این پژوهش تأثیر برنامه ارگونومی مبتنی بر مدیریت استرس شغلی (Ergo-JSI) بر شاخص توانایی کار و استرس شغلی مونتاژکاران را در یک کارخانه تولید قطعات خودرو بررسی کرده است.
روش کار: این مطالعه از نوع مداخله ای و  به روش پیش آزمون و  پس آزمون در بخش مونتاژ یک کارخانه تولید قطعات خودرو انجام شد. گروه نمونه شامل ۸۰ نفر از شاغلان این بخش بود و نمونه گیری بصورت سرشماری صورت گرفت. تجزیه و تحلیل ها داده ها به روش های آماری ویلکاکسون، t زوجی و آزمون ساین تست انجام شد. برنامه مداخله ای ارگونومی مبتنی بر استرس شغلی (Ergo-JSI) به مدت ۸ هفته اجرا شد. پرسشنامه های استرس شغلی (BJSQ)، شاخص توانایی کار (WAI)، چک پوینت های ارگونومی (ECP) و پیشگیری از استرس در محیط کار (سازمان بین‌المللی کار) ابزار پژوهش بودند. ارزیابی میزان استرس شغلی بر اساس دو معیار و B؛ استرس بالا به عنوان بالاترین سطح واکنش استرس (معیارA ) و داشتن سطح متوسط یا بالاتر واکنش استرس، همراه با داشتن بالاترین میزان استرسور شغلی یا کمترین حمایت اجتماعی در محل کار (معیار B) برای کارکنان تعیین شد.
 یافته ها: برنامه مداخله ای به طور معناداری نمره توانایی کار کارگران را افزایش داد (۰/۰۰۱>P). همچنین سطح توانایی انجام کار در ۱۶/۲۵ درصد از کارگران افزایش یافت (۰/۰۱۲P=). به علاوه،  نمره استرس شغلی کارگران، به میزان فراوانی کاهش یافت (۰/۰۵>P). تغییرات کمی در کاهش استرس براساس معیار A (۵۱/۲۵ درصد) و براساس معیار پرسشنامه استرس شغلی BJSQ (۲۷/۵ درصد) مشاهده شد که از لحاظ آماری معنادار‌ بود (۰/۰۰۱>P).
نتیجه گیری: برنامه مداخله ای مدیریت استرس شغلی) (Ergo-JSI با رویکرد فردی و سازمانی بر کاهش استرس شغلی و افزایش شاخص توانایی کار کارگران مونتاژ کارخانه تولید قطعات خودرو موثر بود. بنابراین، این برنامه ارگونومی مشارکتی که رویکردی یکپارچه دارد، می تواند سلامت روانی کارکنان را بهبود دهد.
