زمینه و هدف: یکی از مهم‌ترین جنبه‌های برقرار تعادل ارگونومی، برقراری تناسب محدودیت‌ها و توانمندی‌های انسان با ویژگی‌ها و نیازمندی‌های شغل است؛ بنابراین هدف این مطالعه بررسی مشخصات فیزیولوژیک کارکنان خدمات، تأسیسات و انتظامات یک سازمان کاری و تعیین تناسب آن‌ها با مشاغلشان است.
روش ­کار: در این مطالعه مقطعی که در سال ۱۳۹۸ انجام شد، ۷۰ نفر از کارکنان یک سازمان (۱۵ نفر بخش تأسیسات، ۳۸ نفر بخش خدمات، ۱۷ نفر بخش انتظامات) با استفاده از پله آزمون کوئینز کالج، تحلیلگر ترکیبات بدن مدل N۲۰، ترازوی SECA، ضربان‌سنج Polar مدل RS۸۰۰CX و فرم کوتاه پرسش‌ نامه بین‌المللی فعالیت جسمانی (International Physical Activity Questionnaire: IPAQ) ارزیابی شدند. به‌ منظور تحلیل نتایج از آمار توصیفی استفاده شد. مقایسه میانگین‌ها با استفاده از آزمون ANOVA، بررسی معناداری تفاوت میانگین‌ها به‌کمک آزمون Tukey و تعیین روابط متغیرها با آزمون هم‌بستگی اسپیرمن و نرم‌ افزار SPSS نسخه ۲۰ صورت گرفت.
یافته‌ها: شاخص توده بدنی (Body Mass Index: BMI) و درصد چربی (Fat percentage: Fat%) در میان کارکنان فراتر از گستره‌های بهینه بود. نسبت کمر به لگن (Waist to Hip Ratio: WHR) نیز در محدوده مجاز قرار داشت. همچنین، میانگین بیشترین اکسیژن مصرفی کارکنان (Maximum Volume of Oxygen consumption: VO۲max) mL/kg/min (۱/۴۲) ۳۳/۶۲ و میانگین بیشینه ظرفیت کاری (Physical Work Capacity: PWCmax) آن‌ها kcal/min (۴/۴۶) ۱۶/۶۳ بود.
نتیجه گیری: نتایج نشان‌ دهنده نامناسب‌بودن سطح برخی ترکیبات بدنی، آمادگی جسمانی ضعیف و تناسب‌ نداشتن قابلیت‌های فرد و نیازمندی‌های شغلی است. استفاده از آزمون‌های استاندارد استخدام، فراهم‌آوری امکان فعالیت‌های ورزشی (از سوی سازمان‌ها) و یافتن شاخص‌های تلفیقی که هم‌زمان قابلیت‌های جسمانی، روانی، اجتماعی و محیطی، افراد را برای تعیین ظرفیت کاری مدنظر قرار می‌دهد. (از سوی محققان) می‌تواند گام‌هایی تسهیل‌کننده برای برقراری تعادل ارگونومیکی در محیط‌های کاری باشد.
