زمینه و هدف: یکی از مهم‌ترین علل حوادث صنعتی، که ۹۰‌ درصد آن مرتبط با عامل انسانی است، نپذیرفتن خطاها به دلیل نگرانی از سرزنش و پنهان کردن آنهاست. در این پژوهش ارتباط بین دو متغیر تعیین و سپس پیش‌بینی فرهنگ ایمنی بر اساس ابعاد فرهنگ خطا‌پذیری در کارکنان یک واحد صنعتی در شهر تهران بررسی شد.
روش کار: این پژوهش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی به صورت مقطعی انجام شد. از جامعه آماری ۳۲۰ نفری نمونه‌ای ۱۸۱ نفری متشکل از کارکنان عملیاتی و ستادی به شیوه در‌دسترس انتخاب شدند. ابزار پژوهش پرسشنامه‌های اطلاعات فردی و شغلی، فرهنگ خطاپذیری و فرهنگ ایمنی بود. برای تحلیل داده‌ها از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و رگرسیون چند‌متغیره با نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه ۲۲ استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: ارتباط بین ابعاد مختلف فرهنگ ایمنی و خطاپذیری ۰/۸۴ (۰/
۰۰۱>P) و توان پیش‌بینی فرهنگ ایمنی بر اساس ابعاد مختلف فرهنگ خطاپذیری ۰/۷۰(۰/۰۵>P) است. بین ابعاد مختلف فرهنگ ایمنی، سطح تبادل اطلاعات، آموزش و تعهد مدیریت به‌ترتیب بیشترین ارتباط را با میانگین فرهنگ خطاپذیری دارند. همچنین سطح تبادل اطلاعات بیشترین و اولویت به ایمنی کمترین ارتباط را با فرهنگ خطاپذیری نشان داد. بنابراین تبادل اطلاعات می‌تواند به بهبود مستمر فرهنگ خطاپذیری منجر شود. 
نتیجه‌گیری: به روش ارزیابی فرهنگ خطاپذیری می‌توان فرهنگ ایمنی کارکنان سازمان را با سطح اطمینان بالایی پیش‌بینی کرد که رابطه مستقیم فرهنگ خطاپذیری و فرهنگ ایمنی را نشان می‌دهد. افزایش فرهنگ خطاپذیری به‌طور مستقیم باعث می‌شود فرهنگ ایمنی رشد کند.
