زمینه و هدف: استفاده از تکنولوژی‌های جدید، به‌ویژه گوشی همراه، روزبه‌روز در حال گسترش است. تعیین کاربردپذیری گوشی‌های همراه برای گروه‌های سنی مختلف به گسترش متوازن این تکنولوژی منجر خواهد شد. بنابراین هدف این پژوهش بررسی و مقایسه کاربردپذیری گوشی‌های لمسی و دکمه‌ای در کاربران سالمند ایرانی در دو حوزه عملکرد عینی و کاربردپذیری ادراک‌شده است.
روش کار: در این پژوهش مقطعی ۲۰ سالمند (۵۰ درصد زن) با میانگین (انحراف معیار) سنی (۳/
۶۲) ۶۵/۲۵ به روش تصادفی ساده برای سنجش کاربردپذیری گوشی‌های لمسی و دکمه‌ای انتخاب شدند. سپس از آزمون‌های سرعت تایپ، تعداد اشتباهات تایپی، گرفتن عکس، ایجاد مخاطب جدید و ارسال پیامک برای سنجش عملکرد عینی سالمندان استفاده شد. کاربردپذیری ادراک‌شده با استفاده از پرسشنامه کاربردپذیری گوشی همراه به دست آمد. فشار عضلانی و بارکار ذهنی به‌ترتیب با استفاده از پرسشنامه‌های Borg CR۱۰ و NASA-TLX سنجش و داده‌ها با آزمون‌های آنالیز آماری تی تست و من ویتنی در نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه ۲۴ تجزیه‌وتحلیل شد.
یافته‌ها: میانگین سرعت تایپ و تعداد اشتباهات تایپی در گوشی لمسی بیشتر از گوشی دکمه‌ای و متوسط کاربردپذیری ادراک‌شده در گوشی لمسی (۵/
۸) بالاتر از گوشی دکمه‌ای (۴/۳) است. ضریب همبستگی پیرسون رابطه‌ای معکوس (۰/۳-) بین کاربردپذیری ادراک‌شده و بارکار ذهنی را در دو نوع گوشی نشان داد. همچنین بیشترین فشار عضلانی درک‌شده هنگام استفاده از گوشی‌های همراه در ناحیه گردن احساس شد.
نتیجه‌گیری: به سالمندانی که بیشتر از عملکرد تایپ گوشی استفاده می‌کنند گوشی دکمه‌ای و سالمندانی که بیشتر از عملکرد فهرست گوشی (دوربین، تماس، اینترنت) استفاده می‌کنند گوشی لمسی توصیه می‌شود.
